Synopsis

This is the library demi-plane of Lauremirë. She has constructed and added on to this plane for over a thousand year period, but this is not solely her creation. This plane has been passed down over several generations and added to and improved by each owner. Lauremirë is the third in her family line to be the caretaker of this demi-plane residence. It has grown significantly over the centuries from it's humble beginnings as simply a small library. It is now roughly the size of a full mansion. The mansion is nestled into the side of a rock cliff with trees on either side, and a small outside garden. The main entry has a high vaulted ceiling and spiral stair cases leading to a second floor. Straight ahead is the library of Lauremirë. It is a large room with many shelves, desks, alcoves and other secret locations. There is a large fireplace that warms the room.

When using an amulet linked to this demi-plane to access the plane, the wearer will appear just inside the main entrance hall.

The demi-plane is protected from intrusion by ensuring extremely complex tuning fork vibrational wave patterns. This ensures “guessing” will not result in an accidental trip to the demi-plane. Additionally, ancient Forbiddance magic has been in effect for well over 2000 years for this demi-plane, modified to ensure only guests brought in by the use of the attuned amulets are allowed in. (ie. the Forbiddance magic has been modified so alignment is less of a factor and the damage is applied to those who enter the plane without the use of an amulet. However, anyone of any evil alignment will suffer the 12d6 damage of Forbiddance upon entering the demi-plane, regardless of whether they used an amulet or not.). Despite these efforts of Lauremirë and her progenitors, it is still technically possible for someone with enough power and knowledge to find the plane and enter it, but not without great effort and cost.

Estate of Lauremirë Floorplan

Demiplane Estate of Lauremire

Library

Library

The personal library of Lauremirë is quite large with roughly 4000 books, scrolls, codices, maps, and parchments, all of varying quality, completeness, and age. Topics range from stories, poetry, art, and history, to more arcane focused books including a number of spellbooks and arcane tombs, books on religion, nobility, families, politics, etc. These books, scrolls, and other written references have been collected over a period of 1500+ years.

The east wing holds the guest rooms and baths, for which there are twelve large, luxurious bedrooms (6 per floor), each with it's own beautiful female elven attendant (modified version of unseen servant), a large fireplace, large windows looking out over the landscape, sitting area, and usually a small bookshelf with reading material. Each bedroom has portraits of elven relatives of Lauremirë and events of the past.

Guest Bedrooms

Guest Bedroom, one of about twelve in the rustic mansion of Lauremirë

Another Bedroom Example

Another Guest Bedroom, one of about twelve in the rustic mansion of Lauremirë

The Baths

There are four main baths in the mansion, each one in the hall of the guest rooms, two per floor. The baths are heated and always ready (magically). Each bath has a fireplace keeping it cozy warm, windows looking out into the landscape beyond, and warm towels.

The Baths

The home has a large kitchen with all sorts of foods including meats, rices, beans, vegetables, fruits; drinks including barrels of ale, mead, fresh juices, water, etc; and many cooking tools like pots, pans, plates, cups, silverware…

The Kitchen

The Kitchen

Wine Cellar

The wine cellar, accessed by a door just off the kitchen, holds a number of bottles of wine, finer spirits such as brandy and whiskey, as well as various casks of ale and mead. Plenty of glasses and mugs can be found in the wine cellar and kitchen. The wine cellar is accessible from the kitchen through a door and stairs descending into a basement level.

Wine Cellar

The dining area is just off of the kitchen and is more rustic in feel and design, warmer, a place for good food and good conversation. Soft music is playing in the background, there are many candles throughout providing an inviting and warm glow ideal for dining. A fireplace centered on the main wall provides warmth and the comforting crackle of wood burning. Multiple female elven attendants keep cups full and food at the ready.

The Dining Room

The Dining Room

Art Gallery

Art Gallery

Continuing deeper into the mansion, there is a large hall art gallery with many paintings, relics, and statues of marble and other kinds of stone. The family of Lauremirë has been collecting art as long as she has been living. This demiplane provides a safe and perfect environment for the sustainment of fragile art pieces and statues.

Saerwyn Caladhel was a famous elven sculptor of the early to mid First Age. His statues and paintings are reminiscent of the Earthly Michelangelo. The family of Lauremirë have collected several of his pieces, and others, and keep them within these halls.

Gallery of Statues

The Demon Prince Azazael

Demon Prince Azazael, by the Silver Elf Sculptor Saerwyn Caladhel

The Seduction of Eldalótë

Seduction of Eldalótë, by the Silver Elf Sculptor Saerwyn Caladhel

The Seduction of Eldalótë by the Demon Prince Izzuwuz, Second Version

The Second Version of the Seduction of Eldalótë, by the Silver Elf Sculptor Saerwyn Caladhel

The Ascension of Celeborn and Zemira

The Ascension, by the Silver Elf Sculptor Saerwyn Caladhel

Sophia tames the Demiurge

Sophia tames the Demiurge, unknown Sculptor

Loss of Innocence

Loss of Innocence, unknown Sculptor

The First Man and Woman

First Man and Woman, by the Danemar Sculptor Aurelian Marrick

Seduction of Evil

Seduction of Evil, by the Danemar Sculptor Aurelian Marrick
